All white..

Happy Sunday

It was Thanksgiving in the US so I wish all my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving...
Hope you did not abuse to much of the turkey....

I have a bad cold and I had the most difficult thing to do this week...

My Chocolate Brown Lab Sushie crossed the Rainbow Bridge...
It is one of the most heart breaking situation to live when your faithful companion of 12 years
has to go because she is sick... She went as she lived ... very peacefully in my arms... I will never forget her.

OK now that I have been telling all about how I felt this week.  I also
want to show you the only thing I have been able to do.

I made this card for our card group challenge ...
The theme was "  All white "  it was my first and I must say that I love it.
I find very sober and elegant.
Anyway you can tell me what You think about it.

I used the Spellbinder Medallion die cut for the center piece and
the Sizzix Poinsettia die.
I covered my flower with Crackle Accents for an icy illusion.

I wish to enter this card in the following challenges:

http://challenges4everybody.blogspot.ca/  Challenge #8 Anythibng goes.
http://artfultimes.blogspot.ca/ Challenge 18 Anything Goes.

Until the next post... have fun doing your art projects and thank you for stoping by.

The Nutcracker Ballet...

Hello bloggers...

I have 4 great, beautiful granddaughters... When they reach the age of 6 or 7 there is a few special
things going on ...

One of those is an invitation to The Nutcracker Ballet with "les Grands Ballets Canadien de Montréal"  at la Place des Art.  Mathilde is the one this year so as I always do I made this special
card as an invitation for her.

She is thrilled and so are we even if we have seen it a few times now... It's simply magical!

Graphic 45 had this super paper that I used to make my invitation card.

Thank you for your visit and comments.

Take care my friends.

Time... time....

Hello Blogger.

Time... is one of many things we have no control on...
This Lady is caught in time.

I love doing those step card... it allows so many
different embellishments and variations.

Have fun doing whatever you are doing it is the best way to
take advantage of time passing by!

Have a great evening.

Black, white & red!

Hello dear Bloggers.

This is a very simple card yet the bow, flower and pins give it a very nice touch of elegance.
It can be used for so many occasions.

The triple bow and pins add a delicate touch to this card.

We never have to many of those "passe partout" cards.

Thanks for stopping by.  Take care.

May first mix média canvas!

Hello Bloggers

I have been wanting for a long time to start with Mix Media .... for me it's simply fascinating to see the results of all those techniques when they come together in a single canvas... Do not forget this is my first... but not my last.

Sous son regard même les fleurs scintillaient.

Here you can see the texture of the butterfly and the textile flowers added to the flower bush.

8 x 8 canvas.

I have to give credit to my very talented & patient teacher Mel Cardin from Passioncollimagination!

I always like to know what you think of my artwork... comments are appreciated.

Crop & Make & takes

Our card marking group organized a day of crop and make & take at Scrapbook Centrale.
We where over 20... no need to say that the instructors where very tired when we left!

This is what I manage to accomplish and finish....!

You can't see it but we used a very nice glitter that gives a velvety finish the more you rub it
We also used Peel off.

Nice use of Embossing folder and shinny red paper as a background.  The poinsettia
is a peel off color and covered with glitter.

The background has been stamped and covered with glitter.
The Christmas tree is a 4 pieces die cut.

Add This one is my favorite.. the stamp was covered with watercolor markers
misted with water and stamped.... which gives a beautiful watercolor effect.
Love it!!!

Done with Delusion spray and then the leaves where washed out with water
to be color with markers...! It's pretty and easy !

So I think my Christmas card making is pretty much done.

If you like what you see please leave a comment I love to read what you think!

Write again soon.  Take care.♥

Altered Counter top samples

Hello Bloggers and friends!

Part of art is taking a mundane object and turning it to an unexpected, inventive purpose. That’s just what I’ve done with kitchen countertop samples that take on a new life as very beautiful book covers. The cover has been decorated with a metal and glass birdhouse. Some inside pages have been embellish with bird theme stamps.

I used the 4-needle Coptic stich and it is 3½ x 5 inches and has 32 pages.

I'd like to enter the following challenge.....

Craft Room:  Alter it.

Listen to your heart.

Good evening !

Today I played with my Distress ink to get a watercolor effect but in a different manner than spritzing it with water .... I wanted the layer of to blend but not to much... sooooo I blended with my brush and a tiny bit of water on it..... and I love the result...!

The hardest part was doing the scoring around my painting.  This is the requirement of the challenge I was doing this card for!... After serious thoughts (LOL)  I found a way!

So here is "Listen to your heart".

I love this stamps it's from Memory Box.  Wording is in French and from Stamping up!

Yup, another one for today.... and it's a Tag, something I don't do often, not sure why because the possibility are great!

This one has been done with Tim Holtz Distress Summer colors  applied randomly then spritz with water for the watercolor effect background.

Some of my favorite stamps from Graphic 45 and the master piece, beautiful vintage women stamped on acetate to let the background show!

Some lace, some chipboard on the side a ribbon and that it.  OH! I almost forgot the Bling... love those!

You're the best!

Hello, Hello....

I'm back after 3 months.  Our trip in the Western US was fabulous.   I can't say that it was all rest but
God it was soooo beautiful and inspiring.  I'm back full of energy with a million ideas.  I haven't created anything while on our road trip.  So you can understand that I was really happy to find my craft room when I came back!

I didn't know where to start at first so I went to see my friend Mel she is the proud owner of Passion Collimagination.  So this project is in part inspired by her.

Merci Mel...!

That is it for now I will be back soon with more.

Take care my friends
